Whites aren’t out of the woods yet

Lisburn Distillery boss Tommy Kincaid says his side aren’t safe from relegation yet.

The Whites are in 11th place in Championship One, 10 points off the relegation places.

However, the boss says they must stay focused and start picking up points.

“There’s still a lot to play for because nobody’s safe,” he said.

“If we were to lose a few games, the bottom teams could really put us under pressure.”

Distillery take on Harland and Wolff Welders at New Grosvenor tomorrow (Saturday).

The Welders have suffered just one defeat in their last seven league outings. That was to high-flying Carrick Rangers and Kincaid knows his side have a tough task ahead this weekend.

“We’re going to try and win the game but they don’t get any easier.

“They’ve got a new manager and have added to the squad. We’ll be missing Jimmy and we have a couple of other knocks as well.”

Kincaid has been back in the dugout for the past two games after his recent health scare.

“It’s still tiring bit I did enjoy it,” he said.

“It’s good to be back but a win or two would make it even better.”
