‘Win match for the boss’ says Harwood

Lisburn Distillery’s caretaker manager Andy Harwood has called on the Whites to earn three points ‘for the boss’.

The Whites are hoping to bounce back following last week’s Irish Cup disappointment, and they intend to bring some cheer to the ill Tommy Kincaid, as well as the fans.

Andy said: “Last week really hit home to some of the players. A lot of them are close to him (Kincaid) and it was hard for all the boys, staff and the fans.

“We are expecting a complete response tomorrow. A lot more of a will to win. They have proved that this week in training, despite the weather, they have turned up and been working hard. I know they won’t let me down, let the boss down and let themselves down most importantly. We want to get the three points, especially for the boss, it’s a lift for him.”

Harwood continued: “It’s a lot different being in charge, a lot more work. This week has gone very well after the result at the weekend. We had some harsh words and some home truths, now hopefully the boys can come back and lift themselves.

“We have a full squad available this week, which makes a change,” Harwood added.

“We have to start climbing up the table now. We are out of everything, we just have the league and we want to build on our performances in the league.”
