Winners galore at Northend United Youth FC prize nights

In a fitting end to the season, Northend United Youth FC brought their current season to a close at the weekend with their well attended Junior and Senior Awards Nights, held at the Michelin Club on Friday and Saturday.

Well in excess of 220 attended these events which also doubled up as a Fundraising event for the Club, where the top Prize each night, was a pair of tickets to a Manchester United home match next season.

Guests of Honour this year were a number of Wakehurst FC officials, who attended on both nights.

Northend Chairman, Johnny Sayers, made special mention to the recent partnership with Wakehurst FC and how a number of the U16 players had already enjoyed their time training with the Wakehurst First Team Squad.

Billy Erwin, Wakehurst FC Chairman, then gave a stirring speech to the crowds each night on how Wakehurst FC is looking forward to a long a fruitful partnership with Northend United Youth.

Northend coaches Paul Lecky, Johnny Sayers, John Devlin and Glenn Speirs all gave an account of their team’s successes throughout the year including all the major competitions won by each team.
