Yilmaz on target as Tech draw with Carrick
Larne Tech’s first pre-season match ended in a 1-1 draw with Championship 1 side Carrick Rangers at The Cliff on Tuesday evening.
Former Rangers striker Sencer Yilmaz headed the Tech in front on the half-hour mark before Carrick new boy Richard Gibson levelled matters after the break, glancing home Adam Dick’s corner.
It was Tech manager Johnny Hastings’ first game in charge and he gave www.larnetimes.co.uk this assessment: “I was happy with the performance and the attitude against a good Carrick team.
“We would still like to add more players to the squad, hopefully another two or three, which we are working on.”
The Tech’s next friendly is on Saturday, away to Ballymoney outfit Glebe Rangers.
