McDaid York bound

STRIKER David McDaid will travel to League Two side York City, next week to discuss terms about a possible move.

The front man, who netted 17 times last season with Derry City, is a free-agent and will hold talks with Minstermen manager Gary Mills on Monday.

McDaid, who had a trial with fellow League Two outfit Fleetwood Town recently, is keeping his fingers crossed that a move to Bootham Crescent does materialise.

“I travel to York on Monday, with my girlfriend Fay McCafferty to see the area and hopefully I’ll finally get something sorted out early next week,” stated McDaid

“I have to admit that the last few months have been very annoying and I have had better Christmas, but as I have always wanted to go play in England I’m hopeful everything is going to get sorted out next week.”
