Youth teams wanted

THE Northwest and Coleraine District Youth League completed its revamped McKendry Fabrications sponsored Invitational Cup fixtures this week.

The league were delighted that so many of the North West clubs were represented in at least one age group or another and wish to thank all those clubs who participated.

It is hope that the interest in this years tournament has shown that the league are forward thinking in their ambitions to promote the best of youth football in the North West area. Football that is played locally and widely available for family and friends to watch.

This years winners were: Under 10 Cup Limavady; Under 10 Plate Limavady B; Under 11 Cup Coleraine Academy; Under 11 Plate Inishowen; Under 12 Cup Inishowen; Under 14 Cup Templmore and Under 16 Cup Culmore.

The League are currently holding a series of meetings with sports development groups from the IFA, Universities and the various Councils throughout their catchment area and hope to make some very positive announcements prior to their upcoming Annual General Meeting.
