Zack's prize adds to Northend honours

IN a season where Northend United Youth teams have excelled collectively, another individual honour has come the way of the club.

This prestigious award was chosen by the Referees Association of the League, and Zack was presented with his trophy by Brian Wilson, League Secretary on Saturday.

This complements similar awards in the past for this progressive club, in a season which has exceeded all others.

Back to team matters and the plaudits this week go to Northend's under-11 and under-13 teams, who have finished third in their respective leagues.

Carnmoney Colts 1, Northend 4: In their final game of the season, Northend took the lead just before the break when Jamie Crawford threaded a pass through to David Kilgore who nut megged the Colts keeper.

United started the second half quicker and it wasn’t long before they doubled their lead, Zack Herbison receiving the ball just inside the Colts box but instead of shooting he passed for Crawford to control and score his first goal of the season, the biggest cheer of the night.
