Forest Feast fuels Coleraine swimming stars of the future

The annual Forest Feast AquaSprint Junior Swimming League sees more than 1,500 young swimmers from 25 clubs across Ulster - including Coleraine Swimming Club, compete in a series of league fixtures in four divisions, culminating in eagerly anticipated league finals in June 2016.

Cara Gribben, Forest Feast commented on the swimming gala which sees every county in Northern Ireland represented: “With 8-11 year olds representing 25 regional swimming clubs, across four age groups, this is truly one of the loudest, most colourful and passionate sporting contests that we’ve ever had the pleasure of sponsoring.

“Forest Feast is committed to supporting local initiatives and fostering a positive attitude to health and fitness. A healthy lifestyle is vital for the junior swimmers involved, and the focus on associating exercise with fun makes this gala a hugely rewarding journey to be part of.”

This year the Forest Feast AquaSprint Junior Swimming League celebrates 30 years in the fast lane .

“We are delighted for Swim Ulster to reach this momentous milestone – it is a huge achievement for the organisation which provides young people with a unique opportunity to get involved in swimming at every level.

“We’re very excited to see how the competition unfolds and wish everyone taking part the best of luck!” Cara concluded.

Swim Ulster co-ordinates the swimming gala which sees clubs compete against each other in Medley and Freestyle relays as well as 25m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Freestyle events.
