Four from four for Millpark

MILLPARK Seconds took on Dungannon Seconds at Banford Green, looking to maintain their 100% league record.

With Captain Ian McCart winning the toss, batting on a superb warm day and confidence high in the home camp the start Millpark made was to reflect this with the opening partnership of Stuart McCart and Jordan Willis racing to 38 in the sixth over before Stuart was out for 20.

This brought David Maxwell to the crease and although both he and Jordan found the going slow and tough at times both were able to record half centuries before Jordan was dismissed for a patient 58.

This only brought the hard hitting Nelson Shanks to the crease who proceeded to smash the bowling to all parts. He also secured a half century at more than a run a ball.

David Maxwell was run out off the last ball of the Innings for another patient 58 and Shanks finished on 65 not out.

Millpark then took to the field with the medium pace of James Wright and off spin of Jason Maxwell, opening the bowling and taking the first four Dungannon wickets.

They were then replaced again by Andrew Woods and Michael Willis, Willis also helping himself to two wickets but Woods, who bowled a great spell, was economical but unable to take a wicket.

With Dungannon well behind the required rate another bowling change brought the end of the innings with Stuart McCart and Nelson Shanks both helping themselves to two wickets each, enabling Millpark to make it four league wins from four games
