Four teams face crucial quarter-finals

FOUR local teams all have Intermediate Championship quarter-finals to look forward to this weekend.

Whilst Wolfe Tones have been struggling at the bottom of the first division, the Derrymacash side can keep their interest in the current season alive if they overcome Grange, who beat Keady last weekend, with the two favourites for the competition being seen as Silverbridge and Killeavey.

St Peter’s will be aware that they have a big chance of springing a surprise against the ‘Bridge who beat them last year after a replay.

The Whites beat Mullaghbawn and St Paul’s respectively recently, and are currently showing a strong line of form.

Lurgan side St Paul’s have been handed the toughest draw of all the quarter-finalists, against Killeavey who have become rejuvenated this season with Steven McDonnell concentrating solely on club football.
