The next score was a carbon copy with W.Pearson getting the touchdown and Jarvis adding the conversion. The next score arrived shortly afterwards with the forwards showing their usual display of power and control from a lineout near the line with I.Johnston getting the credit of the score.

The home side were perhaps guilty of taking their foot of the pedal in the second quarter of the game as this left the score line at 17 -0 at half-time.

If the home side started the 1st half strongly it was nothing to their 2nd half showing as they displayed awesome power and finishing. With both forwards and backs in the mood the scores were not long in coming and it was Gawain Foster who opened the scoring in the 2nd period after good work by J.McFetridge ,W.Gregg and R.Millar.

With a constant supply of ball the back line were enjoying the open spaces their forwards were creating for them and it was not long before the flood gates opened with further converted tries from Benji(2) and D.Talbot. The final score came from a line out near the visitors try line when the ball was knocked down into the waiting home skippers’ arms he showed his speed of foot to nip over in the corner to leave the final score at 50 - 0 for the magnificent 4’s.

Captain Waide was very happy with the overall performance but he knows there will be harder games to encounter in the next round as the opposition will surely be stronger. However he knows that if his team can match this level of performance they will not be easily beaten.
