Foyle opened the scoring with a Neil Burns penalty but for the remainder of the half found the lively Sullivan backs difficult to cope with.

One three different occasions, Foyle turned the ball over to Sullivan and paid the penalty of conceding tries. A conterversial try on the stroke of half-time gave Sullivan a 26-6 lead.

Foyle greatly improved in the second half and a Calvin Jones try and Neil Burns try and conversion reduced the lead to 26-18. With 15 minutes to go Burns kicked another penalty to make it 26-21 to set up a grandstand finish.

Foyle had several great chances including one big over lap but failed to take this chance. In the final move of the game Niall Adair seemed to have scored an equalising try, but the referee was not satisified with the grounding of the ball and it was a jubilant Sullivan team who celebrated a close victory.
