Freewheelers ready for 23rd annual Lough Neagh tour event

The annual Freewheeler’s Charity Cycle Tour / Wheelchair Push around Lough Neagh will be held on Saturday August 3, in aid of ‘Disabled Sport Development’.

This annual event, organised by members of the Ulster Hand Cycling Association, will see cyclists and wheelchair pushers meeting at Antrim Forum Peace Carpark, Lough Road, Antrim between 9am-9.30am. The main aim is to raise funds to help further the development of sport for the disabled in NI, including wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis and trackchair racing.

Participants must be 18 years of age or above.

The event organisers have been delighted with the turn out in the past few years with around 200 cyclists of all standards, from all over the province arriving on the day and completing the 75 mile course.

Now in its 23rd year, the event has become one of the most popular cycling tours.
