From football to rugby for Drumgor

SINCE being invited to take part in local Primary School Rugby Blitzes, the boys at Drumgor Primary School, Craigavon, have swapped their football boots for rugby boots.

With the coaching support of Jonny Gillespie (Community Rugby Officer at the IRFU Ulster Branch), the players have been learning about scrums, side steps and tackling.

As P7 pupil Cai McDowell said, “I loved getting dirty playing in the rain, scoring tries and being able to run past the other team’s players.”
