LURGAN Two Veterans travelled to play Rathfriland One last week in a Zone B, Section Four League match and came home victorious having won by 15 shots.

This gave Lurgan 10 valuable points which keeps them in top position, two points ahead of Rathfriland Two.

The Lurgan rink got off to a fine start with five shot advantage at the first end but resolute action from the home rink resulted in the rink score being tied at 6-6 after the fifth end.

Lurgan One rink made sure of victory by gaining seven shots to bring the score to 18-12 after the sixteenth end.

The Lurgan One rink produced and a great finish to win the final end by three shots and to bring the rink score to 21-13 in their favour.
