Fundraising night a great success

Chairman Declan McAlinden was delighted with the turn out and thanked the senior footballers who made a huge effort to promote the event.

The centre of attraction was the Pig on a Spit and the roast pork went down a treat accompanied by a huge variety of side dishes supplied by club members.

Declan McAlinden praised all those who helped out and had a special word of thanks for Francie O’Hagan and In Floor who generously sponsored the Pig on a Spit.

Several businesses donated various raffle prizes. The prize that attracted the most interest was a Down jersey signed by the complete team, supplied by Cathal Austin and the Quays Newry for that superb prize.

Other prizes were donated by Skelton Travel, Jim McCann’s Butchers, Sid Maguire Wholesale Butcher and LA Drinks.
