GAA: Camogs wait goes on

THE wait goes on for Eoghan Rua’s senior camogie team as their All-Ireland Intermediate semi-final against Munster champions Lismore of Wateford fell victim to the weather last Sunday afternoon.

With the Eoghan Rua panel and management already ensconced in Asbourne from Saturday afternoon and several hundred spectators on their way to the game from early Sunday morning word filtered through from the County Meath venue that the pitch was unplayable due to heavy overnight rain.

It was obviously a bitterly disappointing state of affairs for the Eoghan Rua club as all the preparations were geared towards last Sunday afternoon.

Now the team management will have to prepare their side for a new date, time and venue as their quest for an All-Ireland final berth is put on hold yet again.
