GAA: League action for Eoghan Rua

IT'S back to league action this Sunday afternoon for Derry clubs as local side Eoghan Rua, Coleraine travel to Ballinascreen for senior (3.30pm) and reserve (2.00pm) games. Ballinascreen have made a solid start to their campaign winning three of their six games, drawing one and losing two.

They have had the 'indian sign' on Eoghan Rua in recent encounters and are always very tough on their home patch.

It will be a busy week for Eoghan Rua's footballers as their reserve side travel to O'Cahan Park on Wednesday evening to take on Dungiven in a first round reserve championship game, throw-in 7.15pm.

Then on Thursday, their senior footballers will be at home for a first round Dr Kerlin Cup tie against Foreglen, again this has a 7.15 start.

The 13-a-side format in the Dr Kerlin Cup usually lends itself to fast, open high scoring games.
