“Since I left, people have been asking me if I’ll go back to coach and to be honest, I’m delighted that David Platt wants me to be part of his set-up. I can’t wait to get started.”

Platt said of Gaston who currently lives in Ballymoney: “Gacky is a legend at Coleraine. He has been working hard on his coaching badges and coached a lot in local schools.

“He has built up numerous contacts and earmarked a lot of talented young players.

“Drew knows the game inside out and together they want to take the whole youth system up on to the next step.”
