Gareth and Robert shine in Gracehill championship

SUPERB golf from Robert McNeill who completed his round in 70 strokes ,2 under par ,secured' another 1st place in what is turning out to be a great season for the two handicapper.

In 2nd place with a 77 gross was current Captain Stephen McCauley (6) one ahead of Michael Liken(5). Steven Bell(6) with 79 was fourth with Chris McNeill in 5th. Ian Morrison Richard Stinson and Paul Shiels made up the eight qualifiers (gross) for the quarter finals to be staged later in the month.

In the nett competition it was a fine 65 which saw Gareth

Elliot(23) qualify and claim pole position for the day.In 2ngd was Jim

Gillan(13) with 71 two ahead of sixteen handicapper Richard Bell.Wallace McKeeman (22) took Fourth from Paul Sayers(10) courtesy of a better back nine .George Horner(15) also 75 joins James Chestnutt and Trevor Milliken with 76 and 77 in the quarter finals on 8th June.

Shane Bell, Neil Bennett, Ian Morrison, Chris Reid, Paul Sayers, Paul Shiels, Richard Stinson and Ivan Walker scored twos.

Sunday's sweep was played in great conditions with Jonny Kearns(12) scoring 40 points for 1st, two ahead of Paul

Scullion(28).

In third was Ken Morrison (26) with 36 point pushing David Calvin into fourth on countback. Jim Baird, Neilly Greer,Darren Lamont, Lester McCloy and Russell McKessick shared the twos kitty.

Open Week 6th-11th June followed by Monthly Medal on 12th June.
