Lisnagarvey B took a big step towards promotion from NIBA Division 4 with a three shots win and six points away to Newcastle.

By 15 ends Denis Rankin was 8-27 down and though Garvey made a better finish they still lost by 15 shots.

At the tenth Adrian McNevison was 12-5 ahead and 15-10 at 15 ends before getting a six shots win.

Down 10-13 at the tenth and 14-15 at 15 ends Ken Armstrong came back to win by five shots.

At the tenth Alton Reid was just 11-10 ahead but he increased this to 23-12 by 15 ends and went on to win by seven shots.

John Campbell got the only win for Finaghy but it was enough to give them a two shots success away to Glengormley in NIBA Division 4.

Campbell won by 14 shots, but John Moore and Eric Ashton lost by two and three shots respectively, while Greg Peacock went down by seven shots.
