Lisnagarvey gave second placed Whitehead a fright in NIBA Division One when they took two points and only lost by a single shot.

Philip Cromie was down 10-11 with four ends left but finished with one, three, one, two to win by six shots.

After starting with a four, Keith Morrison added three threes and then a five at 19 ends to win by seven shots.

It was always a struggle for Neil Mulholland though and Garvey lost this one by 11.

Noel Graham had a tough fight and at 19 ends was 8-18 ends and a three, four finish still left him three shots short.

Seven points put Lisnagarvey B back in the promotion hunt in NIBA Division Four and with Finaghy beating Holywood, their chances were further enhanced from a 52 shots home win.

Denis Rankin lifted a four but it was 10-10 at the tenth and Garvey were 12-15 down at 15 ends. They hit back to win by eight shots.

Three threes and a four gave Bobby Carroll a 20-6 lead at the tenth and a four and a three made it 27-6. Garvey added another four and went on to win by 26 shots.

A four and a three gave Alton Reid a 14-3 lead at the tenth and a five made it 21-6 at 15 ends. Garvey added a four to win by 17 shots.

A four and a three gave Adrian McNevison a 13-7 lead at the tenth but it was 15-14 at 15 ends. A dropped last end double still allowed Garvey to win by a shot.
