Garvey need to get some points to avoid a relegation battle

Lisnagarvey did not do too badly when losing by 15 shots at home to NIBA Division 1 leaders, Whitehead but the big problem was that they again failed to take any points.

The Lisnagarvey run in the NIBA Senior Cup came to an end last Wednesday night when they lost by 25 shots away to Banbridge in the semi-final.

The result now allows them to concentrate fully on avoiding relegation from Division 1.

Meanwhile, the B team will play Lurgan B or Balmoral B in the semi-final of the NIBA Junior Cup on Tuesday nigh June 28.

They have had a slice of luck in the competition so far, being helped by the withdrawal of opponents. Can they now make this good fortune count?

Lisnagarvey B suffered a 57 shots defeat away to North Down in NIBA Division 4 and face the prospect of relegation for a second successive year.
