Lisnagarvey B reached the fourth round of the IBA Junior Cup following a 13 shots win away to Falls B.

Next up in the last 16 is a journey to the seaside to take on Pickie B tomorrow (Saturday).

Alton Reid was 9-6 ahead at the tenth and 11-10 at 15 ends but in a closely fought game he lost by two shots.

At the fifth, Ken Armstrong was 8-5 ahead but at 15 ends he had taken a 20-7 lead and though Falls came back Garvey still won by eight shots.

Down 16-11 at the tenth and 19-15 at 15 ends, Denis Rankin came back to win by two shots.

At the tenth, Bobby Carroll was 10-15 down but it was 19-19 at 15 ends and Garvey went on to win by five shots.

Garvey B strengthened their second place position in NIBA Division Four with a 46 shots win away to Glengormley on Tuesday night.

Denis Rankin’s rink secured victory with a shot at the last end, but the other three all won easily.
