Peter Stewart, Watt and Nicholl finished together and with a better back nine Watt emerged the overall winner.

Stewart lost his lead through thirteen after a ‘ding’ at twelve and was two points behind the new leader Mairs who was 445still one point ahead of Watt. Nicholl joined Stewart and they were two points ahead of Banks who in turn was another two points ahead of O. Smyth.

There were two new leaders approaching the Lowlands with Watt and Nicholl taking a one lead over Mairs who ‘dinged’ fourteen.

Stewart joined Mairs and they were two and three points ahead of Banks and Smyth respectively with two holes left to play. Watt (par, bogey) and Nicholl (bogey, par) finished together and with a better back nine Watt was the Overall Winner with Conor Nicholl in the Runner-up position. Mairs came home par, bogey to win Division 2 , a point ahead of Stewart (bogey, bogey) second. Banks (bogey, par) finished another point behind in third a point ahead of Smyth (bogey, par). At the turn in Division 1 Colin Steele (4) and Gary Henry (4) were vying for the lead a point ahead of Tony Carroll (10) who was a point ahead of David Stirling (10). Through thirteen Steele was ahead but was being pushed hard by Henry and Carroll a point behind with Stirling two further points down. Carroll joined Steele at the front with a par at the par three fourteenth after Steele, Henry and Stirling bogeyed. Steele regained the lead after Carroll ‘dinged’ sixteen to fall two points behind. Henry and Stirling kept up the pressure and were only one point behind the leader. However Steele finished par, birdie to take first place one point ahead of G.Henry who also finished par, birdie in second place another point ahead of D.Stirling (bogey, par) and Carroll (two pars) and with a better back nine Stirling third.

In Division 3 William Armstrong (19) held a slender one point lead from Gareth Marcus (18) entering the back nine. Willard Simpson (16)

and Andrew Moore (19) were another point behind. Through twelve Marcus had overtaken Armstrong to lead by two points with Simpson another two points away. Moore had fallen back another two points due to a ‘ding’ at eleven. With two to play Marcus appeared to be in an unassailable position as he was five points clear of Simpson and Armstrong (‘ding’ at sixteen) and a further three points ahead of Moore. However in a titanic finish a ‘ding’ on seventeen and a double bogey at eighteen by Marcus and a bogey, birdie finish by Simpson levelled the scores and with a better back nine Simpson snatched first place with Marcus second. Armstrong (double bogey, bogey) finished third (three points behind) with Moore (bogey, par) another point away. Carleton (bogey, par) and Henry (double bogey and triple bogey) finished together another point behind.

The Gross winner was Philip Graham (-1), the Seniors prize went to Trevor Todd.
