Get to grips with tennis at Mossley

Children and young people aged 6 to 17 can serve it and smash it this summer with a five-day, fun tennis scheme taking place from in Mossley from August 18 to 22.

Tennis is a brilliant sport and provides a great opportunity to learn new skills. The sheer fun of playing the game is something to be experienced and it’s great for learning good sportsmanship as well as improving overall fitness.

Lauren Smythe from Ulster Tennis attended the launch of the programme and commented: “Tennis is a healthy sport for life for all ages, abilities and social backgrounds. It’s is a great game for children and young people to get involved in.

“If you haven’t tried it before, the summer scheme is a great way to learn and try out the sport. And, for those who already play, you’ll enjoy getting in some practice and possibly picking up a few new tips.”

The tennis summer programme takes place at Mossley Pavilion from 10 am to 11 am for boys and girls aged 6 to 10, and from 11 to noon for boys and girls in the 11 to 17 bracket. The cost is £20 per child.
