Knockhill will certainly be where the action is in rallycross with a strong entry for most classes including the RX150’s.

Gibson had problems at round one at Lydden Hill when he went wide at one of the corners clipping the tyre wall which resulted in his exit from the event with severe rear suspension damage and bodywork redesigned however his team have been burning the midnight oil to get the rear end of the car rebuilt in time for Knockhill.

“We have got her sorted now and the car should be in top form for Knockhill on 25th April, we have been doing some extensive testing during the week and all looks good,” said Ryan Gibson (chief team mechanic).

Lawrence Gibson commented, “We had a disappointing day at Lydden. We qualified fastest British competitor although a couple of Belgians were in front of us.

“I was expecting a good result going off the line in the finals but I got on to a bit of loose surface on the outside of the track in the first corner and drifted wide and as they say, the rest is history.

“I clipped the back end, didn’t look too bad at first but when we got the car back to the pits we discovered a bit of serious damage.

“Ryan, Colin and Roger have done a good job in getting her in to shape again so hopefully we will have a better result at Knockhill.”
