Girls go for gold at the 2012Dromore Ladies summer camp

DROMORE Ladies Hockey Club held their annual summer camp for primary age juniors at Ferris Park which involved 65 girls from Primary 2 to Primary 7 in three busy days of hockey.

It was encouraging to have lots of Dromore players joined by keen new players with a real eagerness to play hockey.

The players were all worthy of a gold medal at all levels with loads of enthusiasm, expert coaching from the coaches,a huge improvement in skills level for the players, great games played and the sun shone throughout!

The hockey was great with lots of fun and everyone received their participation certificate and Dromore Hockey t-shirt in the club's eyecatching blue.

A big thank you to the coaches Jonny McBride, Gemma Porter, Rachel Morrow, Victoria Robinette, Laura Gamble, Thomas Sturgeon, Paige Brown, Michelle Herron, Lauren Mackin, Allyson McMullan, Hayley McQuoid and Sarah Wilson who lay the foundations and a love of hockey which may inspire the girls for future successes.

The new season is just round the corner with registration taking place at Ferris Park Saturday 1 September from 10am-12pm with forms available online soon. Visit www.dromoreladieshockeyclub.com or contact Andrea Wilson on 07918151265 for further information.
