Girls perform well

Coleraine High School sent a competitive team to the Minor Age Group Swimming Championships.

All five girls entered in the Age Group 4 swam personal best times.

Millie Dallas qualified for two finals, the backstroke and the freestyle events. A mis-timed turn in her backstroke saw her finish in sixth position, but she was later rewarded with an excellent third place in the Freestyle to secure a bronze medal.

In Age Group 5 Catherine Davidson swam a personal best in the butterfly and the breaststroke.

Molly Curry also swam a personal best in the breaststroke heats to secure a place in the finals.

She then posted another personal best to finish impressively in second position to collect the silver medal.

All the girls who swam are all members of either Coleraine or Ballymoney swimming clubs.
