Gold for Glenn in Florida

Bodyshots Gym Kickboxer Glenn McFarlane claimed gold at the World Kickboxing Championships in Florida recently.

the current junior Full Contact Champion - competed in the junior 65kg Full Contact category saw off his Lebanese opponent to book a place in the final. Unfortunately, his next opponent could not fight due to an ongoing injury from the previous round, so Glenn was awarded the gold.

It’s Glenn’s second successive world title, and next year he will be competing at senior level when he hopes to make it three in a row.

making his World Championship debut, fellow Bodyshots member Kristian Irwin was beaten on points by his German opponent at the quarter-final stage in the 60kg Light Contact category. In 2013, he also aims be competing in the senior event, and hopes to bring home the gold.
