Golf Classic a success

LURGAN held its Golf Classic last week for members and friends and it proved to be a success.

Unfortunately it was wet and windy but this did not deter the 24 fourballs.

The winning fourball belong to John McEvoy and his friends.

The other results were:

2nd: Shane Magee, Kevin McKavanagh, Captain, Roy Hanna; 3rd: Graham McNeill, Josh Beck, Tom Woods, Mickey Horan; par three winners: Gerard Henderson, Stephen Loughran; longest drives: Henry Jordan, Katrina Bradford.

After the evening meal there were a number of raffle draws and here are the respective winners:

Tandragee Fourball winner: Tom Woods; Banbridge Fourball winner: Dorothy Woods; European Club Fourball winner: Kenny Hanna; garden hose: Trevor Knox; television: Gordon McKinnon.
