GOLF: Cutler leading Irishman in Finland

Portstewart's Paul Cutler is leading the Irish challenge after the second day of the European Amateur Championship in Finland.

But the Portstewart star will have to produce something special if he is to feature among the medals as he goes into the third round today (Friday) eight strokes off the pace.

Walker Cup probable Cutler, currently 10th in the world rankings, fired a second successive level par 72 for a 36-hole aggregate of 144.

Rory Leonard produced a much better performance returning two under par 70, which takes him five strokes off his first round for a total of 145 — one over par.
