CASTLEROCK Golf Club held the Caravan Cup on Saturday and there was some remarkable scoring at the top of the leaderboard.

The winner was Brian Lowry with a tally of 45 points from his handicap of five. Amazing scoring from such a low mark but all of the points were needed as Lee Creighton weighed in with 44 points from his handicap of 13.

The high section was taken by Alastair Bigger (16) with his 41 points and the low section was topped by ten handicap Martin Conlon with the same score.

Best gross was won with 40 points scored by Ross McCrabbe playing off four.

The best of the seniors was Phil Hendrick who used his nineteen shots to post a score of 41 points.

CASTLEROCK Golf Club is holding a charity golf day this Thursday (October 7th).

There will be prizes for first, second, third, best visitor and first lady in this open stableford for men and ladies.

Entry for visitors is 20 and members 4.
