When he’s not coaching competition winners he’s recruiting ladies and junior members through his coaching camps.

Michael has just wrapped up a six week Ladies Get into Golf programme and has an influx of new ladies members to show for his efforts.

He is now switching his attention to the juniors and will be running Junior Golf Camps for 8-16 years old throughout the summer again with the goal on recruiting new members but with the emphasis on Fun for those signing up.

Current Junior members also have a lot to look forward to this summer with competitions and coaching camps in place to improve their game.

Last Saturday again saw a Club Stableford competition which was sponsored by Cuts Hair Salon.

Ryan Scott claimed victory thanks to his superb score of 43 points and partially thanks to young Jamie Cochrane who almost had the win in the bag standing on the eighteenth tee.

He had 42 points after 17 holes but with the pressure on he proceeded to slice his drive into trouble on the right and paid the price as he ended with an eight.

It was still a brilliant round from the young man and he will be happy enough with second place as he continues to climb the Golfer of the Year leader board.

Sitting at the top of said leader board is none other than Nigel Mearns who continues to dominate this years’ impressive competition.

He scored a brilliant level par round 70 to win the gross prize with 39 points, whilst Phillip McKeever finished in third place with the same score.
