Nigel Mearns is homing in on the Golfer of the Year title as he currently leads the way with a total of 100 points. Nigel continues to play superbly leading near enough from the start and holds a lead of 18 points over second place man Andy Young.

With only four weeks left of the competition it will take a huge effort form both men to remain at the top as every point earned will be hard fought for sure.

Defending champion Kieran Berryman is a good ways back but if he can keep winning who’s to say he won’t be in the mix in the final week. One things for sure it certainly looks like being an exciting August at Roe Park.

Next up this coming week sees The Trustees Cup Four Ball Better Ball played on Saturday with fantastic prizes by sponsors, O’Kane’s Service Station. There will also be the usual Club Stableford competitions on Thursday and Sunday.
