Golf round-up from Portstewart

Paul followed up a two under par front nine with a three over par back nine to win by one point from 22 handicapper Richard Jackson.

In spite of not scoring at the second and third holes, Richard scored 20 points on the front nine and matched this on the back nine.

Vice Captain Adrian McNeice won the low section with 39 points while Andy Leslie had the same points in winning the high section. Stephen Garrett won the gross with a 73.

On Sunday the Fred Daly team had an excellent 6 to 1 home win in the first leg of their match with Omagh.

The Ulster Cup team, 5.5 to 1.5 down from the away leg against Mount Ober, also won by 6 to 1 to progress to the fourth round.
