43 POINT THOMAS WINS AT THE ‘ROCK

Thomas McKinney, playing off 22 eagled the long third and birdied the sixth, for five and four points respectively, to be out with 25 points bagged.

He finished the nine in 40 shots, four over par. Although his back nine became a little ragged, a couple of single pointers and blanks appearing at fifteen and eighteen, he had done enough by adding 18 points to that remarkable 25 from the front half to win by four points.

Runner up, thirteen handicap Cedric Grant, carded 39 points. His front nine included numerous three pointers and four for his birdie four at the third. The uncharacteristic blank at eight meant he was only able to get 20 points for the opening nine. His birdie four at eleven was his last and Cedric coasted in with another 19 under his belt for second spot.
