Acheson is victorious at City of Derry despite wintry conditions

Played in wet and windy conditions at Prehen on Saturday William Acheson came out on top after a close finish.

The 16 handicapper, despite the poor weather played some good golf, scored 28 points to claim top spot following a break of tie finish.

Second place went to Michael Carroll (13) also after a BOT finish, while Kevin Green (11) was third after he too finished with 28 points.

Sunday’s competition was also played in terrible conditions at City of Derry, but once again the golf was good with Declan Burns (14) with 28 points claiming first spot.

Graham Hepburn (4) with 25 points was second after a BOT finish and David Smyth (9) also on 25 points was third.

Five handicapper David Spence with 24 points was fourth, fifth and sixth spots went to Eamon McCourt (7) and Barry McCallion (13) respectively, after they too scored 24 points.
