Portstewart finished with 199 points and Clandeboye were well ahead after two scores in the forties.

Stephen Wilkinson led the Lisburn team with 40 points. He was well supported by Mervyn Mawhinney (38), Ken Haslem (38), Stephen Stewart (32) and Michael Rooney (27). Lisburn needed one more good score to overcome Clandeboye. Andrew had only 28 points after 15 holes. He didn’t let that hold him back though as he hit a three wood to four feet at the long par four 16th for a birdie three and four points.

He then holed from 25 feet at the 17th for another birdie three and three points. Against a strong breeze he was short of the par four final green in two but a five gave him two points and 37 overall. This put Lisburn into the lead with 211 points thus retaining the trophy they won at home last year.
