Awards presented in ladies section

THE competition, which was to have been played on Tuesday 25th September, sadly had to be cancelled due to the torrential rain but it did not stop a large contingent of ladies converging on the club in the evening for the final prize giving of the year.

All the major trophies for the year were handed out and representatives of the sponsors of the August Open, Alana Interiors were also present to hand out their beautiful hampers.

The following were the major winners of the year:

Easter Trophy winner Maeve Cummins Nett 65

Greer Cup winner Christine Hagan Nett 67.

McGeagh Cup winner Fiona McGrady Nett 70.

Centenary Trophy winner Maeve Cummins Nett 68.

Magennis Trophy winner Mildworth Jamieson 37 Pts.

Lady President’s Trophy winner Sheena McStay.

September Team Open (3 Ball Waltzer sponsored by Alana Interiors) winners Sian Mullholland, Lynn Hanna, Orla O’Dowd 82 points; Runners-up Fran McCann, Clare McGourty, Christine Hagan  80 points.
