Saturday’s qualifier was a busier day with great course conditions courtesy of the continuing good weather and Colin Harkin made the most of it scoring an unbeatable 44 points to take the win. Gary Campbell scored a very fine 42 points to claim second place with Sam Murphy taking third scoring 41 points. Who else then to take the final playoff spot but that man Kieran Berryman winning the gross prize.

All eight winners from Thursday and Saturday will now enter the playoffs for the coveted trophy to be played in the coming weeks.

Kieran Berryman will be confident of holding onto the Golfer of the Year trophy for the third year running as he extends his lead, sitting on top of the table with 85 points. Andy Young is the nearest challenger on 59 points with Stubby Boyd third on 40 points. There is still plenty to play for as the halfway mark approaches and with the good weather set to continue maybe we will see a few more names appear up the leaderboard to give Kieran a run for his money.
