Big hitting McDermott inspires win
A well balanced team of Andy McFaul, Neil Duncan, George Curry and big hitting Tom McDermott were the proud winners on Saturday with an unbeatable 92 points in quite blustery conditions.
Brothers Ian and Stephen Orr were the mainstay of the second placed team with Simon Swaby and Gareth Reid playing very important cameo roles.

Hide AdIt took a tie break to decide their place. They had an excellent 50 points of their 91 points on the vital second nine and the third placed team that finished out of the prizes will surely regret the single point they recorded at the ‘Crow’s Nest’.
Meanwhile Andy Riddle continued his run of good form and won the last competition of the summer season at Redcastle Golf Club.
Andy won the Jim Travers Memorial Open 12th-14th September by one shot scoring an excellent 40 points.
Scramble Master Billy Harkin claimed second place with 39 points on a break of tie from Willie Havlin in third place also with 39pts. Danny McCartney claimed the front nine prize with 21 points with Martin Harkin winning the back nine with 20 points also on a break of tie. Nigel Davenport claimed the gross prize with 26 gross points.
Anthony Breslin scoring 36 points won the visitors prize.
