Bradley comes out on top again

The 48 competitors who braved the wind and rain have to be commended as they are truly Sunday Society stalwarts.

The poor playing conditions did not deter some fine scoring on the day, with Kieran Bradley (14) continuing his rich vein of form returning an excellent winning score of 43 points three points clear of the field.

Category 0-11 was secured by Kevin Dunn (10) after he scored 39 points, Sean Sands (12) with 41 points claimed the category 12-17 and James Meehan (25) with 40 points won the category 18+.

While Raymond Tracey (14) with 20 points won the back nine after a break of tie finish.

The race for the coveted Foyle Sunday Society golfer of the year title is well underway and after eight rounds Martin Loughrey having accumulated 310 points holds a sixteen point lead at this early stage.

Second is Steve Moore with 296 points, John McDowell with 287 points is currently third, Cormac McGeady on 279 points is fourth and fifth spot is currently held by Eamon O’Kane who has 277 points.

The Gross section is currently laid by Stephen Martin with 286 points and Cormac McGeady with 236 points is second at the minute.
