An 18 hole sweep was held over the week-end resulted in further success for long serving secretary Robert Orr.

After winning the previous week Robert continued where he left off with a fine score of 40 points. Getting off to the best possible start with a birdie four at the first and another at the eighth he accumulated 21 front nine points before adding 19 to win by two clear points from runner/up Tom Boyd.

Tom for his part, despite failing to score at the difficult par three second hole, opened with 17 front nine points, before moving up a gear, reeling off three birdies in a row at the start of the second nine at holes 10,11 and 12!!

With 21 further points Tom finished with 38, just one clear of three players each returning totals of 37 points and after the enforcement of the tiebreak former greenkeeper Ronnie Engall took the third prize on offer with nines of 17 and 21 edging out Sam Reid and Maurice Torrington, Maurice had some consolation sharing the twos kitty with T. Boyd.
