Brown Trout results

Last week-end 15 members of the Club travelled to Down Royal Golf Course in Lisburn.

Played in very blustery conditions it was Ronnie Milliken (7) who won with 39 points on the first day and 32 the second for a winning total of 71 points.

In runner-up place Paddy Kelly (11) opened with 30 before adding 36 for 66 points, third prize went to Robert Orr (11) scoring 32 and 33 for 65 points.

Fourth prize to Tommy McGowan (10) with 27 and 33 for 60. Fifth place to Club President Joe Logue (16) with scores of 31 and 24 for 55 points.

The weekend competition at the Brown Trout was for the McKergan Trophy.

The Clubs most consistent player Ronnie Milliken (6) proved best again with a level par round. With rather an auspicious start with bogeys at the first two holes, Ronnie didn’t drop another shot and with birdies at holes 11 and 15 returned nines of 19 and 23 for a total of 42 points.

One point back Tom Boyd (10) opened with 20 points before adding 21 to finish runner-up. highlights of Toms round were birdies at holes 3 and 15.

Sam Reid (15) took third prize, Sam got off to a good start with 21 points after nine then added 17 to end with 38.

Ronnie scooped the twos kitty with the only two!
