CALL-UPS FOR OLIVIA AND LUKE

TWO of the district’s bright young golfers have been called up to represent Ireland at one of golf’s prestigious youth tournaments.

Olivia Mehaffey and Luke Woods have been selected to play for an U16 boys and girls team at the European Young Masters Golf Championship at Royal Balaton Golf Club, Hungary.

It is a creditable achievement for these young golfers to play in such a prestigious tournament. Previous winners of this tournament include Sergio Garcia and Italian sensation Matteo Manassero in the boys, and Suzanne Patterson in the girls.
