The ‘Captains Drive In 4 Man Scramble’ sponsored by Michael McGregor Carpets was played on Saturday.

This was won with a gross 57, nett 53.4, by Liam Berryman, Kieran Berryman, Eamon Brown and Martin McVeigh. The team did the damage on the front nine with seven birdies and an eagle at the par 5 4th hole, a modest 31 coming home including birdies at 14, 15, 17 and 18. This was enough to see them home with a victory margin of 3.1.

In second place was the team of Gary Campbell, John McKay, Joe O’Kane and Willie Scott they started well with birdies at the first five holes, followed by another at the 8th for an outward half of 29. However with only three birdies coming home and a net score of 56.5 was just short of victory.

The club stableford on Sunday was a very close competition, with the top four all scoring 41 points, Andrew Young was victorious with a better back nine. Whilst in second place Derek Powell and Eamon Barkley third, with Sean Hasson fourth all decided by a break of tie over the back nine holes.
