Captain’s Day at Faughan Valley

All members are reminded that the Time Sheet is now on display for Captains Day, members are asked to book their time slot as soon as possible.

Juniors members Captains day will take place today (Thursday) at 2pm whilst the Captains mixed doubles competition will take place on Friday, at 6pm.

The presentation of Captains Day and Presidents Day prizes will take place on Saturday in the Drummond Hotel Ballykelly, at a joint ‘Captain’s/President’s Dinner Dance’ and any member requiring ticket please contact any Member of Club Council.

Last weekend’s Babington and Croasdaile Solicitors open stableford competition held at the weekend saw Eamon Downey (20) with 42 points claim first prize, second was Conrad Carlin (17) who also scored 42 points and Chris Nutt (9) was third.

The gross prize went to James Lindsay after he scored 69. Graham Curry (13) with 24 points won the front nine and Thomas Parkhill (13) also with 24 points claimed the back nine.

Meanwhile the City of Derry Lady Captain’s Day stableford competition played on Friday was won by Naoimh Quigg (4) after she scored 39 points, second was Florence Walker (30) 38 points and Catherine McCanny (9) with 37 points was third.

The Gross winner was Vivienne Houston (5) after she scored 30 points, the Student prize went to Amy Chambers (5) after she scored 41 points. Veronica Burke (23) with 20 points won the front nine and Kate O’Doherty (35) with 20 points claimed the back nine.
