Captain's Drive-in proves to be a big success

THE Captain's Drive-in and 9 hole scrarmble at Foyle on Friday evening had an excellent turnout with 14 teams taking part on a beautiful evening for golf with some fine scores recorded and it took a break of tie decision to decide the winners.

Coming out on top were Sheila McLaughlin, Paul Anderson, Cormac Cassidy and Paul McEleney after they scored 26.4 points; in second spot also on 26.4 points were Naomi Hamilton, Paul McGuigan, Cecil Thompson and Kevin McDaid, while third place went to Lorna Thompson, Margaret Killen, Richard McRory and Joe Flanagan after they finished with 26.8 points.

Today (Wednesday) the confined stableford competition, which is the first counting in the P&L Electrics Golfer of the Year competition, while on Friday an Open Stableford competition takes centre stage to book a tee-time telephone 71352222.

On Saturday, another confined stableford competition will take place, while next Monday, May 3 an open stableford competition sponsored by Drinks Inc and once again telephone 71352222 to book a tee time.
