City of Derry Pro-Am

THE Henderson Properties Ltd. sponsored City of Derry Pro-Am will be played at the Prehen club over July 21st and 22nd and teams are currently being sought for this annual competition.

Prehen members will pay £90 per person while the cost for visitors is £105 per person. The entry free includes a practice round on Friday, July 20th, two competitive rounds and a corporate gift.

Current European Tour players, Simon Thornton (defending champion) and Damien McGrane (2010 winner) have both confirmed that they will be returning to Derry next month.

Anyone wishing to enter a team or, indeed, seek further information in relation to the tournament, should contact the City of Derry Pro Shop on 71311496.

The June medals will be presented on Friday, after the Captain’s Scramble on the same evening.

While City of Derry’s Fred Daly team failed in there bid to win the trophy this year.

The local lads were defeated by a very strong Holywood G.C. team going down over the two legs by 9 matches to 4.

Representing City of Derry were - Dan Hinds, Luke Hasson, Peter Hasson, Shane McGahon, Adam Monaghan, Lee Roy McKeegan, Aaron King, Lee McClelland, Andrew Crothers and Ross Hunter.
